Katheryn Johnston
Katheryn Johnston has been a Lake Cherokee resident since 2004. She is a retired Registered Nurse and UT Tyler Professor in nursing. Prior to nursing, she worked on staff with the American Red Cross and was deployed for multiple disasters both nationally and internationally. She has no children of her own, but claims her nephew and niece, who both live in the area, and who both promise to take care of “Aunty Kate” when she gets old. Mrs. Johnston is a grandma to 7 children under 10 years old (via her husband) who luckily all live in Texas. She and her husband enjoy fly fishing and skeet shooting - and traveling to places where they can participate in these activities. Katheryn is the LCCF Grant Coordinator and is currently liaison to the Friends of the Lake Cherokee Veterans Memorial.
